DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGER

Job description:

D-Orbit is looking for a Digital Media Manager, who will be responsible for setting up, managing, and maintaining all digital media platforms of the company, including the institutional website, product websites, blogs, and social media.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Set up and manage D-Orbit’s digital estates, either directly or by coordinating with contractors and service providers;
  • Advise the head of the communications office about risks and opportunities related to the adoption of a particular digital technology platform;
  • Perform market research to identify trends in the digital media industry;
  • Analyze feedback and usage data, and prepare reports on the company’s digital media performance, efficiency, and effectiveness;
  • Update company's websites by laying out content provided the team following design guidelines and performing internal linking;
  • Update the company’s social media platforms following the social media policy.
  • Manage email marketing and pay per click campaigns.

Ideal Profile

  • University level education in fields like computer science, data science, marketing, enabling you to independently research and evaluate technical topics, market trends, and digital products.
  • Professional knowledge of content management platforms (Wordpress in particular) and web languages (HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript). Attitude and desire to get your hands dirty and learn by doing in an ever-changing landscape.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.You need to be able to process English literature quickly, produce small reports, and interact with English speaking colleagues and contractors, both in person and by phone.
  • A passion for space science, space technology, space exploration, the role of space in shaping our world and the future of space in our society. Being an International Space University alumni or a Space Generation Advisory Council member is a bonus.
  • Cultural sensitivity. You will work in an international setting, interacting with people with different costumes, culture, aesthetics, and sense of humor. Having lived, studied, or worked abroad will be considered an asset.

What You Will Need to Learn Here

  • Getting things done. People will trust you to deliver in time.
  • Managing small teams. You will be handed over small projects, where you are responsible for coordinating two or three colleagues or contractors.
  • Being proactive. If you have a better idea on how to do anything, let your team know.
  • Communicate your needs to team members clearly and effectively, especially when you are in trouble. We will provide all the help and support you need, but you must be able to tell us in time.
  • Write pieces of English content like press releases, blog posts, and correspondence following templates and guidelines;
  • Evaluate and interact with digital platforms at all levels (front-end, backend, HTML code, PHP code, database, plugin interface, and so on) if and when needed.

SENIOR HARDWARE ENGINEER

Job description:

At D-Orbit, you will work in an aerospace startup with high growth potential. You will be the main responsible for hardware and FPGA design, engineering and testing. This includes responsibilities in  circuit boards, FGPA and equipment design, involving analog electronics, power, digital and microprocessors (mixed signal). You will also be involved in development of early prototypes and their implementation based on the production documentation, prototype test and assembly, definition of the test procedures for the recurring prototype and assistance in the production screen testing.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Educated to University Level / Engineering degree, preferably Electronic engineering;
  • 7/10 years of experience in hardware development;
  • Confidence and proven experience in digital hardware design and FPGA firmware programming;
  • Experience in suppliers management, PCB layout review;
  • Experience in design-to-manufacture;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language;
  • Capability of working in autonomy and managing small teams;
  • Ability and resilience to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Ability to work hard in a team setting to meet time schedules;
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively;
  • Culturally sensitive.

You will be particularly appreciated if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in safety-critical high-reliability/high-availability hardware design;
  • Experience in space (ECSS-standard)and/or avionics hardware design;
  • Experience in automotive and medical applications;
  • Experience in electromechanics motor drives;
  • Experience in using PDM/PLM tools;
