TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM ENGINEER 

Job Description

We are looking for a telecommunication system engineer to:

  • Carry out the COM related activities on D-Orbit spacecraft, following the whole subsystem lifecycle.
  • Design and develop the subsystem, coordinating with system engineering.
  • Manage technical data exchanges with suppliers.
  • Overview prototyping and engineering activities up to subsystem qualification.
  • Participate in AIV of flight model and support operations from mission setup to in-flight COM testing and maintenance.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of a COM System Engineer on a spacecraft during the entire duration of a mission typically include:

  • Top-level design and requirements definition, starting from mission and payload requirements,
  • Detailed COM system and operation design and verification, coordinating with the rest of the spacecraft system and subsystems,
  • Subsystem modules (TRX, antennas, harness, etc.) definition and procurement. Activities might include design, prototyping, testing and manufacturing of in-house developed hardware or technical support to selection, procurement and acceptance of third party supplied items,
  • LEOP and commissioning of COM subsystem,
  • Authoring of Technical documents,
  • Managing Link budget,
  • Executing RF finite-element pattern analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledge of system engineering basics;
  • Proficient in MATLAB / Simulink signal processing toolbox;
  • Knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP and A/D RF modulation techniques;
  • Confidence in drafting and handling link budgets;
  • Knowledge of wireless communication and signal processing;
  • Knowledge of antenna design;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in team and individually;
  • Knowledge of software-defined radios (SDR) technologies and GNU Radio toolkit is an asset;
  • Hands-on experience (like as radio-amateur) would be valued;

PCB Hardware Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate to join our Hardware Engineering team and actively follow PCB layout design by:

  • Dealing with electronic design from requirements definition to PCB routing.
  • Supporting the hardware and mechanical engineering team throughout the full product development life-cycle, supporting PCB outline, component placement, and routing process.
  • Following technical data exchange with suppliers and support manufacturing during board assembly and test.

PCB Hardware Engineer duties include:

  • Overview part footprint creation and management.

  • Experienced with state-of-the-art PCB design tools and methodology.
  • Experience with Altium designer tool.
  • Proficient with high-speed board designs or layouts.
  • Familiar with high density ball-grid array's (BGA).
  • Familiarity with all phases of hardware development including schematic entry, manually generated constraints, requirements of the constraints, and board layout.

  • Deal with spacecraft thermal design from requirements definition to testing

This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment inside one of the fastest growing companies of the high tech industry. As a PM, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing company projects, ranging from the strategic planning of activities to their implementation and control. Your job will also require you to draft, edit, and deliver proposals for grant applications or budgets and support data for the sales department. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties (whenever applicable) for the flawless execution of projects;
  • Ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget;

  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
